How to Play CarBall.io

What do you get when you mix a soccer game with a driving game? You get CarBall.io. This unique game combines elements of driving gameplay, such as nitro boosts, with traditional soccer elements, including opposing teams, goal post defense, and offensive strategy. It may sound like an odd combination, but you will immediately love the combination as soon as you find yourself chasing a giant soccer ball across a field with bumper-to-bumper cars inadvertently cornering you as you try to bounce it with the hood of your car.

The game's objective is to score as many goals as possible in your opponent's net. You are part of a team of 3 cars, and AI controls your teammates. Scoring is easier said than done when you're driving. You will essentially need to push the ball with a car, and plenty of other cars will surround you with the same goal, so expect traffic jams.

The game offers limited customization options, but some features are available. You can choose the team color you'd like to join and the type of car you want to drive. This part is key. Select the car that aligns with your strengths and weaknesses. Each car is equipped with different attributes, all of which can be upgraded as you accumulate points.

These are:

1. Health: you car’s durability. Increasing this quality means you can withstand more collisions without impacting your car’s efficiency
2. Speed: your car’s maximum velocity
3. Damage: this has to do with your power to damage other cars on the field
4. MaxNitro: this quality relates to the duration of your speed boosts
5. Nitro Fill: a higher nitro fill increases the rate at which the meter regenerates after each usage

Tips

It's a driving game, so drifting is inevitable, especially when using your nitro boost. Stay balanced, and don't lose sight of the goal. When you drift, you can easily miss all gameplay, leaving all point scoring to your teammates.

Sometimes, the easiest way to turn is to make a 180-degree turn with your car. Use your brakes in combination with nitro boosts for sharper turns.

There is no official goalkeeper, so if you see your goal unmanned and the opposing team is getting close to scoring, this is a great chance to use your nitro boost and protect the goal net from opposing shots.

Be careful about damaging your car by crashing into walls and other players on the field: your performance will be affected if you have too many collisions, and these might prevent you from being effective.
