It once again gained viral attention for its hidden horror elements.

In October 2024, Sprunki became a standalone web game on Open HTML5 Games, playable in browsers on desktops, tablets, and phones. The final update arrived in November 2024, after which the creator discontinued further development. The game nonetheless continues to thrive so much so that there are hints of a “Sprunki Remastered” project, though no release date has been announced.
